Custom words of welcome appear at the beginning of the course and provide your organization a space to communicate directly with your learners
👤 This article is for the main point of contact for a participating organization.
This element of your course is entirely optional. In fact, only 30% of organizations opt in to provide their learners with words of welcome (or additional content) - this is an optional customization offered to all our clients.
If you would like to proceed with including words of welcome, please read below; otherwise, with the previous steps completed, your course is already being built!
If you choose to include words of welcome, you may want to consider the following:
-
- Invite your leadership or Indigenous lead to welcome learners to the course and provide context as to the 'why' of this learning journey
- Insert testimonies about the successful impact of this course from your team
- Inform learners of your diversity & inclusion initiatives or internal links to documents, event boards, points of contact, support personnel or services, etc.
Or, you could also choose to integrate the following:
-
- PDFs or text of our organization's own reconciliation calls to action or response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action
- PDF or text of Calls to Action specific to your sector or area of work (Health, Justice, Churches, etc.)
- Communicate expectations about course completion deadlines
- Communicate larger initiatives in truth and reconciliation in your region
Format: We can accommodate your content in video and text formats, and can include photos, PDF, and most Google Suite formats (Slides, Docs, Forms)
