How to Screen Our Films Using Vimeo or Downloaded Files

Learn how to screen Reconciliation Education films using Vimeo or downloadable files. This guide outlines how to download, prepare, and play the films for events or educational screenings.

Overview

Our films are hosted securely on Vimeo and are available as high-resolution downloadable files for in-person or virtual screenings.
Please note that DCP (Digital Cinema Package) format is not provided.


🎥 Downloading the Film

If you’ve received a Vimeo link:

  1. Open the private Vimeo link.

  2. Click Download below the video.

  3. Select the highest available resolution (e.g., 1080p HD).

  4. Save the file to your computer or an external USB drive.

Tip: Download the file at least 24 hours before your event and test playback in advance.


💻 Screening Options

You can screen the films using standard playback methods, depending on your setup:

  • Laptop and Projector: Connect your laptop to the projector or display and play the downloaded file.

  • Smart TV or Media System: Transfer the file to a USB drive and play directly on your display system.

  • AV Setup: Upload the file to your internal AV or shared system for playback during the event.


🔊 Before the Screening

  • Test both video and sound to ensure clear playback.

  • Confirm that the video fits the screen properly (16:9 aspect ratio).

  • Keep your device connected to power during the event.

If you experience playback issues:

  • Play the file directly from your device, not from a network folder.

  • Ensure your audio output is correctly set up.

  • Re-download the file if corruption or lag occurs.
